24 Frames Lalla is a coming of age horror film about Lalla Grotowski, filmmaker who doesn't trust themselves and is being haunted by a six headed snake in a reoccurring nightmare. There's only one way out of this crisis...to make a film on their own.

--------

Joy Marzec (she/her) is an independent writer and director with 15 years of experience making films. 24 Frames Lalla is her third feature which won the "Stunning Cinema" award at Oh Yeah Cool's inaugural More Than A Film Fest.
Her second feature, I Am That, won Best New Mexico Feature at the Oscar qualifying Santa Fe International Film Festival and is distributed in the US and UK, streaming on Amazon Prime, Tubi, and DirecTV. She has directed several short films, both narrative and documentary, and has produced films in India and Sri Lanka.
Her protagonists tend to be outsiders who carry visions larger than themselves. Before filmmaking, she adapted and directed theater works including Siddhartha and Brave New World, and earned a degree in Economics from the University of Washington. She lives in Philadelphia, where she is in pre-production on her fourth feature, Dream of the Holy Fool. You can check out Joy's work on Instagram @24frameslalla and at 24frameslalla.substack.com

Bruce Baldini (he/him) is an actor and Drag King born in Philly and currently residing in Brooklyn. As a fierce advocate for authentic queer representation, his characters and stories are uniquely raw and steeped in deep working class pride. A frequent collaborator with Joy, Bruce is SO excited to share his film first performance, with 24 Frames Lalla! His next role will be in Dream of the Holy Fool.
As Drag King Fappell Moan, he is known in both Philly and NYC as a vengeful glamour clown alchemizing feminine manhood and luscious torture. He has produced many successful shows and is currently producer of the drag show/film screening hybrid "Masc at the Movies" at Nitehawk Cinema. "M@TM" has sold out audiences of 100+ celebrating and interrogating masculinity in Y2K blockbusters like Men In Black, Zoolander, and Austin Powers. Philly folks can see Bruce perform at the Holiday edition of "Boyfriend Material" this winter. Follow for more information!
